
When it comes to the world of fitness and training, hidden secrets and food choices that seem bizarre can often make the difference. One such popular treat are pancakes which are packed full of carbohydrates, energy and protein if made in the right way for training purposes.
In honour of Shroves Tuesday, otherwise known as pancake day, we’ve come up with two special pancake recipes designed to be used with our Luchos energy blocks in order to provide a super energy boost just before your workout. These energy pancakes use our Guava Raspberry and our Guava Acai energy blocks to provide a fruity and nutritious twist on an old fashioned favourite.
Here’s a recipe for Guava Raspberry Lucho’s Energy Blocks Healthy Pancakes:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 Guava Raspberry Lucho’s Energy Blocks, crumbled
Toppings: fresh raspberries, honey
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the crumbled Guava Raspberry Lucho’s Energy Blocks.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spoon batter into the skillet, using 1/4 cup for each pancake.
- Cook until the edges are set and bubbles appear on the surface. Flip the pancake and cook until the other side is golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve with fresh raspberries on top and a drizzle of honey.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Acai juice
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Acai berries, mashed
- 2 Lucho Dillitos energy blocks, crumbled
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix Acai juice, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the mashed Acai berries and crumbled Lucho Dillitos energy blocks.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spoon batter into the skillet, using 1/4 cup for each pancake.
- Cook until the edges are set and bubbles appear on the surface. Flip the pancake and cook until the other side is golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve with your favourite toppings such as maple syrup, whipped cream, and more crumbled Lucho Dillitos energy blocks!
