At Luchos, our mission is to fuel active lifestyles with natural, sustainable, Guava based energy blocks. Inspired by the rich traditions of Colombian cycling. We are committed to providing high-quality, plant-based energy blocks made from real fruit. A natural alternative to energy gels, Luchos taste good and are easy to digest. Through our innovative, environmentally friendly leaf packaging and our dedication to simplicity, we aim to support athletes and adventurers of all levels in achieving their goals, while respecting the planet.

INSPIRED BY A WINNING FORMULA

Luchos are inspired by Colombian bocadillos, a popular block made from natural guava pulp, a noted superfruit packed with nutrition and beneficial minerals. They have long been a treasured secret for Colombian cyclists, who have used them in competitive tournaments like the Tour de France for over 50 years.

Kind to nature & your stomach

Luchos is easy to digest, packed full of natural ingredients. Our blocks are wrapped in a 100% compostable Bijao leaf - which means you can just discard it whilst out in nature, allowing for real convenience during exercise, as well as helping reduce the impact we all have on the environment and the trails we value. We are continuously working towards improving the environmental impact of our products. In addition, we are active and passionate supporters of organisations like Mossy Earth - who are making a positive difference in the space of rewilding by bringing back ecosystems once previously hurt by human intervention.

Alice is a passionate multi-sport athlete. As an accomplished cyclist, she thrives on long rides that push both strength and endurance to new levels. Beyond the bike, Alice shares her expertise as a swimming coach, helping athletes of all levels unlock their potential in the water. Her well-rounded background in triathlon brings together her love for cycling, swimming, and running, giving her a rounded perspective on performance, nutrition and well being. To me the purpose of what I do goes beyond the wins and podiums; a result is also defined by the lives our team changes whilst showing what's possible with diabetes. I work every day in the hope of making one more person affected by diabetes, smile more, hope more and dream bigger. Diabetes doesn't define me but what I do with it does.

WE HELP POWER PEAK PERFORMANCE

We are proud to say Luchos has powered professional cyclists and runners to great success as well as hobbyists and beginners to PBs and personal success stories. The height of this came in 2020 when our energy bars were used to scale Mt Everest, handling the harshest conditions far better than competitor energy gels. Luchos have also helped to power athletes to impressive results in competitions, including helping to fuel the ‘fastest all women’s crew’ in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge in 2023.
